SAFE Routes have been established in key Low Water Crossing locations throughout
the City of San Antonio so that citizens can easily find Alternate Routes away from
flooded roads.
- If you come across a road that has been flooded, “Turn Around Don’t Drown.” Do not
attempt to cross. Seek a SAFE Alternate Route and follow the SAFE route signs away
from dangerous low water crossings.
- If you live along a SAFE Route you can download and print specific SAFE Routes and
place them in your vehicles glove compartment for future use.
